The Octomore series of whiskies are Bruichladdich's super-heavily peated expressions, named after a nearby farm where barley is grown for the distillery. This has been aged for five years in ex-American whiskey barrels. It combines sweetness and smoke, with notes of crème caramel, earthy peatiness, bonfire smoke and marzipan.
