Step 1 - Join Our Community
Begin by registering here. To participate as a buyer or seller, you must become a member. Our one-time, non-refundable fee of £5+VAT grants you lifetime membership, verifies your card details, and helps prevent fraudulent bidding. By registering, you agree to our Terms & Conditions – please ensure you read and understand them.

Our monthly online auctions feature an exciting array of lots. As a registered member, you’ll receive email notifications when a new auction begins. Check the dates of our upcoming auctions below:

Step 3 - Make Your Bids
Bidding on Whiskys Auction is straightforward. Log in, browse the lots, and enter your maximum bid in the ‘place bid’ box. Our system will automatically increase your bid incrementally up to your maximum. You will be notified by email if you are outbid. If you win, follow the email instructions to finalize your purchase. Happy bidding!
Auctions close at 4pm (UK time) on the final day. To prevent last-minute bidding rushes, we use 'anti-sniping' measures – bids placed in the last 10 minutes extend the auction for that lot by an additional 10 minutes. Monitor your bids in your account to see if you are currently winning or have been outbid.
Step 4 - Finalise Your Purchase
Congratulations on your successful bid! You’ll receive an email notification with a secure payment link to complete your purchase and specify delivery preferences. A buyer’s commission of 7.5% is added to the auction price of all lots.
Payments are processed through Shopify Payments only.
International customers are subject to a 3.5% surcharge for credit card payments. UK customers will have 20% VAT added to all fees, including commission and delivery charges.
Step 5 - Receive Your Whisky
Whiskys Auction offers international shipping to numerous destinations. Before bidding, please check our Shipping Page for delivery availability and shipping charges. Note that you are responsible for any local taxes, duties, or other obligations related to alcohol importation.
For those near our HQ at Whisky Auction, The Square, Stamford Bridge, York, Y041 1AG, we offer a free collection service. Select this option at checkout and let us know when you'll be collecting. Collection times are:
Monday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Tuesday - Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am - 4:00pm
