Bidding on Whiskys Auction is straightforward. Log in, browse the lots, and enter your bids in the ‘place bid’ box. You are able to set a ‘proxy bid’ which is the maximum bid you are wishing to place. Our system will automatically increase your bid incrementally up to your maximum. You will be notified by email if you are outbid. If you win, follow the email instructions to finalise your purchase. Happy bidding!
Auctions close at 6pm (UK time) on the final day. To prevent last-minute bidding rushes, we use 'anti-sniping' measures – bids placed in the last 5 minutes extend the auction for that lot by an additional 10 minutes. Monitor your bids in your account to see if you are currently winning or have been outbid.
Congratulations on your successful bid! You’ll receive an email notification with a secure payment link to complete your purchase and specify delivery preferences. A buyer’s commission of 7.5% is added to the auction price of all lots.
Payments are processed through Shopify Payments only.
International customers are subject to a 3.5% surcharge for credit card payments. UK customers will have 20% VAT added to all fees, including commission and delivery charges.
Whiskys Auction offers international shipping to numerous destinations. Before bidding, please check our Shipping Page for delivery availability and shipping charges. Note that you are responsible for any local taxes, duties, or other obligations related to alcohol importation.
