This 2020 release of Nikka's Taketsuru Pure Malt is the latest edition. It was named after the founder, Masataka Taketsuru, who founded Nikka in 1934. The nose offers a grassy malt aroma with hints of vanilla, toasted coconut, pineapple, and earthy undertones. The palate is dominated by vanilla, followed by a mix of pears, peaches, butter, and floral notes.
