Kilchoman 2010 Vintage Release 9 Year Old is a single-vintage, limited-edition Islay malt from Kilchoman—Islay’s farm distillery—bottled as one of their most mature releases since the distillery’s founding in 2005. It’s a vatting of 45 casks, all filled in 2010, combining 42 fresh bourbon barrels with 3 Oloroso sherry butts (roughly an 85/15 bourbon-to-sherry balance). Bottled at 48% in a 70cl format, it’s designed to showcase Kilchoman’s bright, citrus-led peat with an added layer of sherried spice and richness.

Why This Bottle Is Worth Bidding On
- A clearly defined single-vintage Kilchoman with transparent cask makeup—always a plus for buyers who like detail and consistency.
- The bourbon/sherry balance is built for complexity: citrus/vanilla brightness from fresh bourbon barrels, plus a controlled hit of Oloroso spice and dried fruit.
- Strong “modern Islay” appeal at 48%: big flavour, but still approachable for drinking, while remaining collectable as a limited vintage release.
