Crafted by Ichiro Akuto, founder of the renowned Chichibu distillery and grandson of the creators of the famous Hanyu distillery, this whisky reflects a commitment to traditional methods and uncompromising quality. Chichibu distillery, established in 2007 in Saitama Prefecture, uses a traditional mashtun, Mizunara washbacks, and small Forsyths copper stills to create whiskies that are both complex and expressive. Maturation takes place in ex-bourbon, sherry, and hogshead casks, all stored in classic dunnage warehouses.
