The Filey Bay Trios Special PX Barrique Trilogy is one of the most compelling single cask releases to come out of England's whisky renaissance — and a genuinely fascinating study in how three sibling casks, filled on the same day, can develop three distinct personalities. The Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, based on a working barley farm in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire, fills all its casks with pot-distilled new make spirit made from their own farm-grown Laureate barley. These three ex-PX barriques carry an extraordinary history: first filled with Rioja wine, then shaved, toasted, and re-charred, then filled with Pedro Ximénez sherry, and finally — the moment the sherry was disgorged — filled with Filey Bay new make in October 2017. Only 259 complete sets of three were released via ballot in 2023. Each bottle individually numbered; only available as a set.

Tasting Notes
Cask #663 (Producer): Rich and candied — dark chocolate-covered raisins, butterscotch, and cola cubes. Intensely sweet PX sherry influence throughout.
